Sorry, voor vandaag geen plaatjes. We reizen vandaag af naar onze laatste bestemming in Nieuw Zeeland: Christchurch. We zijn vergeten om op de weg daarheen en in de stad zelf digitale foto's te nemen. We zitten nu (3 feb) in een park onder de ogen van het standbeeld van Cpt. Cook deze laatste pagina's in elkaar te sleutelen en hebben de auto reeds afgegeven en de bagage in een kluis van het hotel gezet. Geen kans meer dus om digitale foto's in de laptop te laden. Christchurch is de meest engelse stad van Nieuw Zeeland en dat klopt ook wel. Qua parken, architectuur, straatnamen, trams, bussen, enz. Maar voor de rest is het gewoon een stad zoals alle steden (in een rij van best wel aardige steden dan). Deze avond werd de auto ondanks dat het zo aangegeven werd niet opgehaald bij het hotel. Na enig belwerk moet het vervoermiddel morgenvroeg opgehaald worden met excuses etc etc.
Sorry, no pictures for today. We're travelling to our last destination in New Zealand today: Christchurch. We forgot to take any pictures of our journey and of Christchurch itself. While we're sitting in a park, underthe eyes of a statue of Cpt. Cook, finishing these last pages, we've dumped our car and luggage at the hotel. We can't load any pictures into the laptop anymore so no pictorials. Christchurch is the most english city of New Zealand and yes it is. The parks, buildings, busses, trams, punters, etc. It all fits. But all in all it's just a city like other (nice) cities. Like we said: we had to leave the car at the hotel. It was to be picked up by the rental car company but they didn't this evening. After phoning them they promised us to pick it up tomorrow.
